Vent: Had a client yesterday who insisted on using a lemon juice and baking soda mix she saw online, now her face is bright red and she's blaming my calming gel mask.

Ugh, why do people always trust random internet hacks over actual skincare? That lemon and baking soda combo is basically a chemical burn waiting to happen, it's so harsh. It totally strips your skin barrier. Of course her face is freaking out, and now you're getting the blame for it. That's so frustrating, you were just trying to help with the mask after the fact.

My friend Sarah tried a honey and cinnamon mask she saw online last year. Her skin turned bright red and felt like it was on fire for two days. She had to use a ton of plain moisturizer to calm it down. The worst part was she blamed the store-bought cleanser she used after, not the DIY mix. It took weeks for her skin to get back to normal. People just don't realize how strong some kitchen stuff can be.

Seriously, that cinnamon mask thing is no joke. Read an article about how cinnamon oil can be a major irritant, like way stronger than people think. It's not just a spice, it can actually cause burns on sensitive skin. Mixing it with honey doesn't magically make it safe. Some of those DIY recipes are just asking for trouble.
