Remember when everyone had those little steamers for facials?
I bought a fancy $250 facial steamer back in 2015 thinking it would be a game changer for my home clients. It broke after maybe 20 uses, and the company was out of business so I couldn't get parts. Do you still use a steamer, or have you moved on to other methods for opening pores?

My 2015 Conair steamer died the same way. Felix_hayes64 is onto something about the warm washcloth, honestly. I just use a bowl of hot water with a towel over my head now, it's basically the same effect for zero dollars. The whole "opening pores" thing is mostly about softening what's already in there anyway. All that fancy gear feels like a scam once you realize how simple skin care can be.

Honestly, are we sure pores even open and close like that? Feels like one of those beauty myths that just won't die. A warm washcloth does the same thing for free.

Yeah felix_hayes64 is right, it's totally a myth. The whole thing is more about making your skin soft so gunk comes out easier, not some tiny door swinging open. Makes you wonder who started that idea in the first place.
