Pro tip: stop using that cheap magnifying lamp from Amazon on everyone
I mean, I see it all the time in local Facebook groups, people bragging about their $39 lamp. I had a client come in last week with broken capillaries on her cheeks she swore were new, and her last esthetician just cranked that thing to max and pressed it right on her skin. You can't treat every face like a flat surface, and that intense heat and pressure can cause real damage. How do you all handle clients with super sensitive skin when you need to see detail?

Yeah, reminds me of a time I saw someone using one of those on a tattoo. The artist was basically cooking the skin to see the lines, looked so painful. Some tools just aren't worth the risk.

Oh my god, that's brutal. So they're out here using a tool meant for soldering circuit boards on someone's face, lmao. I guess if you want to see every pore you just have to accept you might also give them a mild burn. Next they'll be using a car headlight and a pair of pliers.
