I just found out most people at my local startup meetup work alone
I was at the Founders Coffee event in Austin last week and got talking to a few people. I asked how big their teams were, and like four out of five said it was just them, maybe with a part-time helper. I always thought these events were full of small teams, but it's mostly solo folks trying to connect. It made me feel a lot less alone in doing everything myself. Has anyone else noticed this at their local meetups?

The Austin Tech Happy Hour last month had the same vibe. It changes how you see the networking part. Everyone is there to find the missing piece they can't do, like a developer or a sales person. It's less about showing off a team and more about quietly looking for one.

Sounds more like a job fair than a real happy hour.
