Update: My Monday started with a 3-hour call to tech support because the new controller software bricked a whole bank of elevators in a 12-story building downtown.
The fix involved manually re-flashing each drive with a laptop and a USB-to-serial adapter from 2008, which I had to dig out of my truck's 'ancient cables' bin.
