Got a stuck door on a 90s Dover in an old office building. The usual lube and adjust didn't work, so I tried a trick with a zip tie on the vane reader.

Zip tie on the vane reader? That sounds like a last resort before you just replace the whole thing. It's a 90s Dover in an old building, those things are basically antiques. How bad can a stuck door really be, it's not like the whole building is on lockdown. Maybe just give the frame another good whack with your shoulder.

Yeah, but that stuck door can be a real pain if it's the main entrance. People end up waiting in the rain or heat just to get inside. Sometimes a quick fix is all you can do until the budget for a real repair comes through.
