Am I the only one who sees paint fail from skipped primer?
Just finished a job where the new guys didn't prime the drywall. Paint started peeling in under a month. The foreman brushed it off, said it was fine. Now the client is furious and blaming us. Always check that primer coat, folks.

Catch this all the time in daily life, people skipping basic steps to save time. @the_felix is right about the extra coats, it's a total waste of effort. Honestly, it reminds me of how some folks never change their car oil and then act shocked when the engine dies. Tbh, that foreman saying it's fine is just passing the buck until it blows up. Ngl, doing things right the first time always pays off, even if it takes longer.

Oh man, that drywall was probably gulping up that paint like a thirsty sponge. Of course the foreman said it was fine, he's not the one dealing with the angry client now. Classic.

Seen this happen so many times. They always skip the primer on fresh drywall. Now you're stuck doing three extra coats to cover the mud spots. Costs more in labor than if they just prepped right the first time.
