Ngl, it hit me why my suction hose keeps losing prime in shallow water

Honestly, I was fighting with it for hours on a job last week. Tbh, I finally noticed the angle of the intake was too steep, letting in air. How do you set up your hose in tricky spots?

Yeah I heard laying the hose as flat as possible in the shallows helps a ton. Even a slight bend can suck air.

Tried keeping my hose straight in the shallows after dealing with air suction. I mean, it made a big difference for me. Maybe it's just me but getting rid of bends really helps.

Last month, I flooded my neighbor's yard trying to get the hose flat. I had it coiled like a snake in the shallows, so no wonder it sucked air. @nathan_jenkins, your advice would have saved my grass and my pride.
