Warning: that $30 garlic press was a total waste of money
Bought a fancy garlic press online last month and the handle snapped off after three cloves. Stuck using a knife again and lost a whole evening prepping sauce. Anyone else find a cheap garlic press that actually lasts?

Man, that stinks (literally, since garlic smells so strong). Had the same thing happen with a mid-range press from a kitchen supply store, handle bent after a week. Ended up going back to the little plastic one my grandma had for twenty years, it still works fine. Sometimes the simple stuff really is the best, even if it looks cheap. Hope you find one that holds up better next time.

Garlic press tip: always check if your mid-range is made of mid-tier cheese metal.
