The $450 portable monitor I swore I'd never buy is now my daily driver

I was a one-laptop nomad for two years until a client in Lisbon needed live spreadsheet editing while I had Slack open, and I watched my whole workflow freeze. Bought a 15.6 inch USB-C monitor for $450 and now I'm getting twice the work done in the same hostel room. Anyone else eventually cave on gear they thought was just extra weight?

Picked up a 13 inch one for $380 last year after the same freeze problem in a Bangkok cafe. Big difference is I got a matte screen, cuts the glare way down so I can actually see it near a window. Also check the brightness numbers before you buy, 300 nits is the floor for me now.
