That co-working space in Lisbon with the tiny fridge changed my packing game

I was bouncing between hostels in Portugal last month and landed in this co-working spot near Cais do Sodre. The place had a mini fridge that was basically a cooler, but it got me thinking about how I meal prep on the road. I used to eat out every single meal, blowing like $30 a day on average. Now I do a Sunday shop at the Mercado da Ribeira, grab eggs, yogurt, and some fruit, and stash it wherever I'm staying. It saves me around $150 a week, which is huge for keeping my monthly budget under $2k. Has anyone else found a weird setup that made them rethink their daily spend?

Found the same trick in Bangkok. Street market eggs and fruit saved my whole trip.
