Deleted my social apps for 30 days, then my sister's message made me reinstall
I cleared every social app off my phone back in March and used only email and texts. My sister kept sending me group chat invites and photos of her kids, but I missed three birthday party reminders because I wasn't on Facebook. She finally called me and said 'you're missing everything, this isn't helping you, it's just hiding.' She was right, so I went back but only kept two apps and turned off all notifications. Has anyone else tried a total cutoff and then found a middle ground that actually stuck?

Gotta say, the middle ground part is where I always trip and fall flat on my face... like, I delete everything, feel super productive for a week, then re-download just to check one thing and suddenly I'm three hours deep in someone's vacation photos. Definitely not my proudest moment.
