Just saw a 6.7 Powerstroke go from fine to fried in under 500 miles
A buddy brought his truck in last week with a slight coolant smell, but no visible leaks. We pressure tested it and found nothing, so he drove it home. He came back today with white smoke and a rough idle. Pulled the oil filter, and it was pure chocolate milk. The EGR cooler had a tiny internal crack that only leaked under load, and it pumped coolant into the oiling system. Has anyone else seen a failure this fast on the newer coolers?

That tiny crack in the EGR cooler, was it on the updated aluminum design or the older style?

Honestly feels like every new fix just brings a new problem.

Oh man, my buddy's brand new aluminum one did that.
