Just ran the numbers on my grocery app...
I was looking at my shopping history last night and noticed I spent $87 on name brand cereal in just 3 months for my kids. That's like $29 a month for sugar and cardboard. I found this hidden breakdown in the Kroger app under spending insights, and it literally made me sit down. Has anyone else checked their own app data and gotten a surprise like this?

HOLD ON, wait. You spent $87 on just CEREAL in three months? That's absolutely INSANE to me, like I can't even wrap my head around that number for something that's basically air in a box. I have to go check my own app right now because I bet I'm way worse than I think I am.

Friend @hayden144 my buddy found a $45 charge for "garden supplies" that was just three bags of potting soil.

Honestly, I gotta say something here. That's not actually $29 a month on cereal if you spread it over 3 months, that's $29 a month. Sorry, math nerd moment. But yeah, I've dug into my own Kroger spending insights too and it's wild how those little impulse buys add up. The app is good at showing you where your money goes, but it's also super tricky because it groups things in weird ways sometimes. Like I saw a charge for "snacks" that included stuff I bought for a party, not just everyday munching. So maybe double check how they break down those categories before you freak out too much.
