I mean, I always thought those grocery store apps were just for coupons, but I saved $22 on my last trip by checking the 'digital deals' section first

The real trick is checking the app while you're in the store. Prices change all the time. I've seen the digital price for an item drop lower than the shelf tag right in front of me. You have to scan the product's barcode in the app to see the real deal. Saved five bucks on coffee that way last week. The shelf said one price, my phone said another.
