Dollar store foil pans beat the $12 name brand ones and I'm done pretending otherwise
I bought a pack of 3 foil baking pans at Dollar Tree in Springfield for $1.25 last month just to have extras, and they held up better on my lasagna than the heavy duty ones I used to pay $12 for at the grocery store. The cheap ones browned the edges the same and nothing leaked through, plus I didn't feel bad about tossing them after. Last Thanksgiving I spent $10 on a single Reynolds pan and it still bent in the middle when I pulled it out of the oven. I get that the thick ones feel nicer in your hand, but feeling nice doesn't make the food taste better. Am I missing something about why folks swear by the expensive ones, or did I just get lucky with this batch?
