Rant: my trash can lid taught me a math lesson at 6am

Dragged the bin out this morning and caught the lid hinge lined up with the handle groove. Turns out every 47th rotation it aligns perfectly, I counted it after 3 tries with my coffee. Has anyone else stumbled on weird patterns in ordinary stuff that made you stop and double check?

Hate it when mornings throw math at you before you're ready. Good on you for counting though, that's some real dedication before caffeine kicks in.
