A Walmart cashier said 'you look tired' and now I time my errands differently
Last week I was in line at Walmart around 8pm and the cashier looked at me and just said 'you look tired, long day?' I kind of laughed it off but it stuck with me. I realized I always do my grocery runs after work when I'm grumpy and it makes everything feel worse, like the lines are longer and people are ruder. So I tried switching to Saturday mornings at 9am last weekend and it was a totally different vibe, way fewer people and I wasn't in a rush. But here's the thing, getting up early on a weekend feels like giving up my only time to sleep in, so I'm not sure it's worth it. On one hand, I'm less stressed and I actually remember what I need to buy instead of grabbing random stuff. On the other hand, I'm tired all Saturday and it kind of wrecks my day off. What do you all do, suffer the after work crowd or drag yourself out early on weekends?
