That chat with the vet tech at Petco made me rethink my cat's food
I was just grabbing a bag of dry kibble for my cat Milo last week when this vet tech named Rachel stopped me in the aisle. She said something like 'you know, dry food is fine but most cats don't drink enough water to balance it out.' It hit different cause my Milo has been peeing a little weird lately and I just thought it was no big deal. She told me about how switching even half his food to wet food can help with kidney stuff down the line. I've been doing it for 6 days now and he's actually drinking less water and seems more energetic. Has anyone else had a random stranger at a pet store change how they feed their animals?

I used to be strictly dry food only because that's what my parents always fed their cats, but that story about kidney stuff definitely got my attention. @finley_price24 I'm glad the half wet food switch worked for your older cat too because I was worried Milo wouldn't go for it but he loves the texture change. Now I'm a believer in mixing it up and Milo's litter box habits seem way more normal than before.

Same exact thing happened to me. Switched my old cat to half wet food, huge difference in two weeks.
