Just realized my vet's 10 minute rule for my puppy was spot on
When I brought home my beagle puppy Waffles back in March, Dr. Patel at the clinic on 5th Street said to keep training sessions to 10 minutes max or his little brain would just shut down. I figured that was way too short and kept pushing him for 20 or 30 minutes, and he'd just flop over and ignore me. Switched to the 10 minute rule two weeks ago and he already knows sit, stay, and comes running when I shake the treat jar. Anyone else got a short-timeframe tip that sounds fake but actually works?
