Appreciation post: My cat staged a full protest in the kitchen last Tuesday
So last Tuesday, around 7 PM, I dared to open a can of tuna for my own sandwich. My cat, Mochi, heard the sound from the living room and sprinted in. He then sat directly between my feet and let out this long, sad meow (like a tiny foghorn). When I didn't immediately share, he slowly flopped over onto his side, blocking the path to the fridge. I had to step over him three times just to get my lettuce. Has anyone else's pet performed a dramatic hunger strike over human food?

Used to think cats were chill until mine did that.

What exactly did it do?

Yeah, @alex307, mine did that too. I just started ignoring the behavior completely. When she'd knock my glass off the table, I'd just clean it up without looking at her. No reaction. It took a couple weeks, but she got bored and stopped. Now she just yells at me for food, which is its own problem.
