Tried to draw my cat while she napped, 2 minutes turned into 47 and 9 ruined pages
She was curled up on the couch in that perfect loaf shape on Sunday afternoon, so I grabbed my sketchbook thinking this would be a quick 2 minute doodle. Every time I got the head right, she'd twitch an ear or stretch a paw and I'd start over, and by page 9 I had a stack of cats that looked like burnt potatoes. Does anyone else's pet seem to know exactly when you're drawing them, or is my cat just personally out to get me?
Cats can totally sense it. Mine will be dead asleep and the second I pick up a pencil her tail starts going. I swear they wait for you to get the eyes right before they move. Nine pages of potato cats is still nine pages of love though.
