Just realized everyone draws eyes as perfect ovals, but real eyelids have that tiny dip at the inner corner
I was sketching faces on my lunch break and kept erasing because my eyes looked fake. Looked in the mirror. There's a little curve near the tear duct that everyone's art ignores. Checked three other people's doodles in this thread. Same thing. Now I can't unsee it. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just staring too close at my own face?

Decades of drawing and I never caught that. You just wrecked my whole approach.

Right, sethhernandez, it messes with everything once you see it, even makes your shading feel all wrong somehow because that little dip changes the whole shadow shape around the socket.
