Had the worst week on the road but then a random gas station doodle turned it around

I was stuck in a truck stop outside Flagstaff for three days straight thanks to a blown alternator, drawing angry faces on my coffee receipts. On the third day a kid saw my squiggly wolf doodle and gave me a crumpled five dollar bill for it. Has anyone else ever had a crummy week get flipped by something that silly?

Heard a psychology professor once say that small acts of kindness land harder than big gestures because nobody sees them coming. That kid probably didn't even think twice, but for you it turned a whole week around. Your mileage may vary, but those random moments always seem to hit different when you least expect them.
