Hot take: my $200 grinder broke on a Tuesday and my $18 backup made better coffee
My fancy burr grinder died in the middle of grinding beans last Tuesday morning, right before I had to leave for work at 7:15. I grabbed the cheap blade grinder I got at Target in 2019 that I had shoved in a cabinet and just pulsed it 6 times like a heathen. Honestly the cup came out sweeter and less bitter than what I had been drinking all month, which made me mad at myself for spending all that money. Am I crazy or does anyone else think the grinder hype is mostly just hype?
