Dropped $180 on a burr grinder with a glass catch jar, third morning it slipped out of my wet hand

I was rinsing the jar in the sink at 6am and it shattered on the edge of the basin, glass everywhere and no coffee before work. Replacement jar costs $45 plus shipping, which is half what the whole thing was on sale. Anyone else just grind into a plastic cup instead, or am I the problem here?
