My dad won a pun-off with a one-liner about his new glasses
Last month at the family barbecue, my dad dropped 'I'm reading this book on anti-gravity, it's impossible to put down' and my uncle actually spat out his beer. That joke got 14 likes in our group chat, more than my 'why do fathers take an extra pair of socks' bit ever got. Has anyone else had a relative steal the weekly crown with something that simple?

Wait, your uncle actually spat out beer? Like real beer, on purpose, as a reaction to that joke? That's wild to me. I've seen people do the polite chuckle or the fake laugh, but full spit take over an anti-gravity pun feels like a scene from a movie. Also, 14 likes in a group chat is basically a viral hit in my family, my dad gets like 4 likes and two are from my mom using his phone. That book joke is decent, sure, but I'm stuck on the beer thing. I need to know if he was already drinking, or if that was his first sip of the day, because that changes everything.
