That random comment about my video intro actually made me rethink everything
A commenter on my last upload said my 20-second intro felt like a gas station ad, and after counting the cuts I realized they were right, so how do you all keep intros under 10 seconds without losing your hook?

Did you catch that MrBeast breakdown where he talked about cutting out the first 10 seconds of most videos? He basically said the hook should be the very first thing, not a mini trailer for the video. I started doing that after reading about retention curves on some creator blog, and it feels weird at first but viewers just seem to stick around more. Maybe try just starting with the most interesting clip you have, even if it feels like spoiling the end, then back it up with a quick explanation.
