A old timer showed me how to read a load chart differently yesterday

I was setting up a 200 ton crawler and this guy with 30 years in walks over and says I was reading the chart wrong for years. He showed me to look at the boom angle before the radius, and it cut my setup time by about 15 minutes. Anyone else learn a simple trick that changed how you think about the basics?

Angle over radius is the old school way, saves headaches when the ground's uneven too.

My old man had this waterlogged field where laser levels just went haywire, so he'd bust out a long tape and a bubble level every time. Angle over radius was the only thing that made sense out there.
