My 8 year old caught me restarting Stardew day 3 three times in one night
Last Tuesday I sat down at 9pm for what I kept telling myself was one quick day in Stardew, and by 11:30 I had restarted spring year one three separate times because my crop layout felt off. My kid walked by, saw me trashing a perfectly good farm, and asked why I keep doing it when the first one looked fine, and honestly I didn't have a good answer. Does anyone else get stuck in that loop of chasing the perfect layout instead of just playing the game?

Messing up the layout on purpose is basically a rite of passage for year one. That first farm is never going to feel right because you don't even know what you want yet until you've played a season or two. Restarting three times in one night is rough though, your kid was just calling out what the rest of us won't admit lol. Maybe try a messy farm for once and see if it grows on you.
