Lost my 60 hour farm save to a power blink and now I back up to a USB stick every Sunday

I was 60 hours into my farm in Stardew on the Switch, right after finally finishing the community center, when our power flickered for like two seconds during a storm here in Boise. The game closed mid-save and my file came back corrupted, so after I sat there mad for a while I started copying my save to a cheap USB stick every Sunday night before bed. Does anyone else do a backup thing, or am I just being paranoid now?
