I finally stopped buying those expensive highlighters for the face
Ok so I kept dropping $40+ on those fancy liquid highlighters that go viral on social media. But I noticed they all looked kinda chalky or greasy on my clients with oily skin. Last month I grabbed a $6 cream eyeshadow from the drugstore in a champagne color. I dab it on the cheekbones with a damp sponge and it gives this natural wet look that lasts all day. My clients have been asking what brand I use and they're shocked when I tell them. Has anyone else found cheaper alternatives that work better for certain skin types?

Shocked when I tell them" - yeah, because they're probably thinking "you paid how much for that stuff before?" Classic case of the emperor's new highlighter.

A buddy of mine dropped $80 on a single highlighter because an influencer swore it was "literally magic." She used it twice, decided it was just yellow, and now it's sitting in a drawer with a bunch of other overpriced stuff. She still gets mad if anyone jokes about it, but we all know she got played hard.

Oh come on, $80 for a highlighter? That's wild, not $80 for a palette lol.
