Rigid vs. Echo pole saw for tree work, I chose wrong at first
Last month I had to trim some big branches over my garage in Portland. I borrowed my neighbor's Echo pole saw and it kept binding on the thicker cuts. After fighting it for two hours, I rented a Rigid with the higher torque from Home Depot for $48 a day. The difference was night and day, it chewed through the same limbs in 20 minutes. Has anyone else found that the cheap models are only good for thin stuff under 2 inches?
