Kept hearing the Denver airport tunnels story was fake, then I measured the walk myself and now I don't know what to think
Two years ago my brother in law would not shut up about the tunnels under the Denver airport and I just rolled my eyes because it sounded like the same recycled junk from a thousand YouTube videos. Then last spring I had a 6 hour layover in Concourse B and decided to actually test it, why not, I had nothing else going on. The train ride from B to C took 63 seconds of my phone timer, which is fine, nothing weird, but then I walked from the B concourse to baggage claim and I swear it had to be over a mile with almost nobody around the whole way. What got me was the construction crews working near midnight with no passengers anywhere, just drywall and pipes, and a guy in a hard hat who said they were doing the 'same thing they do every night' when I asked. I am not saying aliens or lizard people, I am saying that place feels off in a way I can't explain and I finally get why people go down these holes. Does anyone here actually live near DIA and see the construction on a normal day, or am I just spooked by an empty airport at 1am?
Walked that same stretch at 2am once and it felt like a movie set after everyone went home, just humming lights and guys taping off walls. My cousin lives in Aurora and says the night crews are out there pretty much year round, so maybe it's just normal construction that looks creepy when you're the only one around.
