New release agent made my slab look like a leopard, what the hell

Switched to this cheaper form release oil last Monday for a 40-yard pour in Boise. Worked fine going down, but when we stripped the forms, dark blotches all over the face. Looked like someone threw coffee grounds at it. Checked the drum, mixed it exactly like the label said. Called the rep, he said it was a bad batch with too much diesel in it. Cost me 3 days of grinding and a pissed off homeowner. Anyone else get burned by a new batch of release agent without testing it on a small piece first?

Man that reminds me of when I grabbed the wrong jug off the shelf and ended up with a form oil that smelled like a gas station. Slab came out fine but my crew wouldn't stop calling me the fuel guy for a week.
