Check your screed before the pour, learned that one the hard way in Amarillo
Was finishing a 20x30 shop slab near Amarillo two weeks back and my old wooden screed had a warp I never noticed, so the whole middle of the pad ended up a quarter inch low. Client caught it with a level before the forms even came off. Anyone got a good way to check a screed for true before it costs you a pour?
Wait, a quarter inch low across the whole middle and nobody caught it till the client showed up with a level? That's brutal. Honestly I just lay a straightedge on mine and eyeball it, but now I'm wondering if that's even enough.
