The 7:14 express bus changed my whole morning routine
Ever since they moved the bus stop three blocks north on 5th Ave, I showed up 6 minutes late three days in a row. I was so used to the old timing that I didn't even check the new schedule. Now I leave my apartment at 6:52 sharp instead of 6:55 and I grab coffee from the cart by the park instead of the one at the station. It feels like a tiny win but it saves me from standing in the rain waiting for the 7:22. Anyone else have a small route change mess up their whole commute flow?

Oh man, this hits so close to home. They rerouted the 42 bus in my neighborhood and I was late for two weeks straight before I figured it out. Had to switch from my usual 7:10 departure to leaving at 6:58 just to catch the new connection at Oakwood. Now I walk past a doughnut shop that wasn't on my old route and I grab a kolache from there instead of waiting at the old stop. It's crazy how a simple bus stop change can throw off everything you had locked in. Glad you found that coffee cart though, those little wins make the whole adjustment worth it.

Wait @cora863, isn’t a kolache actually a pastry with fruit and a danish is the one with cheese or sausage?

ugh tell me about it. i had the same thing happen when they moved the 7:14 stop too, only i showed up 8 minutes late every day for a whole week before i realized i was standing at the wrong corner like a total idiot. now i have to sprint past this angry looking pigeon that guards the new spot every morning, and i swear it judges me harder than my boss does. at least your coffee cart discovery sounds way better than my dumb luck - i just get soggy toast from the bodega that looks like it came out of a factory fire. small wins really do save the whole routine though, even if they make you look like a clown for a few days.
