Biking to the shop made me realize why my crew chats more now

I started cycling instead of driving to avoid gridlock on the main road. Ngl, that quiet time on the bike path lets me think, and I actually listen better to my guys during morning huddles. Honestly, do you find your travel method changes how you show up at work?

SO true. And it's wild how just switching from a car to a bike can flip your whole mood. I used to roll in all tense from road rage, now I get there actually awake and ready. That quiet time lets your brain sort itself out before you have to deal with people. Makes you a better listener for SURE. You show up as a different person, no joke.

Always thought it was just about getting exercise. Had to start biking when my car died last year. Used to show up with my hands still clenched from the steering wheel, jaw tight. Now I roll in with my blood already moving, actually seeing the neighborhood. That ten minutes to clear my head makes all the difference.

Jay Street bike lanes in Brooklyn have me showing up more alert but way more stressed than driving, lol. Dodging delivery ebikes and construction zones the whole way means I'm wired, not chill. Tbh my crew gets my focused energy but not that clear-headed calm everyone's describing.
