Am I the only one who counted 312 cars in one traffic jam on I-93 and felt weirdly proud
So I was stuck on I-93 heading into Boston on a random Tuesday and I had nothing to do, so I started counting the cars around me in the jam. I got to 312 before traffic finally started moving. It took 47 minutes to go 3 miles, and somewhere around car 200 I stopped being annoyed and started treating it like a game. I even started sorting them by color in my head, silver won by a mile which makes sense I guess. What got me was that 312 cars all had somewhere to be and we were all just sitting there together being late. My girlfriend thinks I am nuts for keeping the number in my notes app. Is this a normal thing people do or do I need a hobby?
Ha, I heard a guy on a podcast say he does the same thing on the Pike, counts cars and guesses where everyone is going. 312 is a solid number though, I would've lost track around 50. Your girlfriend should be glad you're not counting something worse.
