PSA: the dive school in Morgan City told me a number about inland work that floored me
Was talking with a guy named Ray who runs tenders out of a yard in Morgan City and he said something like 80 percent of the inland jobs he sees now never leave 30 feet of water. I always figured shallow meant easy but he said that is backwards, since you get way more surge and zero vis in a canal than you ever get at 100 feet offshore. Turns out the deep stuff is often the cleanest and calmest work you will ever do. Anyone else find that the shallow inland jobs beat you up worse than the deep ones?
