Rant: My long box of X-Men fell apart and I lost 60 issues to water damage
Last Friday I moved my collection from the spare room to the basement and the bottom of my oldest long box just gave out on the stairs. About 60 issues hit the concrete, and then my kid left the basement window open during that storm Saturday night, so the whole stack got soaked. I laid them out on towels for two days but the pages are wavy and the covers are stuck together, including a Giant Size X-Men #1 reprint I got at a con in Columbus. I am sick about it. Has anyone saved water logged comics, or do I just eat the loss and start hunting replacements?
