Dropped $300 on a bootcamp before I knew what a for loop was, and I want to save you the money
Everyone told me to just start building stuff for free, but I paid for the fancy course in 2019 and quit after 3 days because the videos assumed I already knew the basics, so check the course outline for real beginner stuff first or you'll be out lunch money like me.
I almost made the same mistake with a course that said beginner friendly in the title. Turns out day 1 was installing stuff and by day 2 they were already doing functions and arrays like it was nothing. What helped me was hitting up free stuff like freeCodeCamp and the Odin Project first, then once I actually knew the basics I could spot which paid courses weren't lying about being for beginners. Also check if they show a sample lesson before you buy, because that one move would've saved me like $80.
