I finally measured how much tool life we lose to the coolant mix, and the number shocked me
Everyone on my floor swears the coolant ratio does not matter much as long as it looks milky. I ran a test on our Haas VF-2 last month, same part, same feeds, and tracked insert wear across 40 cycles. Running at 8 percent instead of the 5 percent we had it at cut our insert changes from 6 down to 2 over that run. Curious if anyone else has actually logged this or if we are all just guessing like I was.
