Put $600 into a home energy audit and it paid off in 8 months
I had a company come out and seal up drafts, add attic insulation, and fix my ductwork for about $600 total after rebates. My electric bill dropped from $220 a month to around $140, has anyone else gotten good results from those audits?

Yeah attic insulation is probably the single best bang for your buck in most houses. I had a similar audit done a couple years back and the biggest difference came from sealing up the rim joist gaps in the basement, that alone stopped a ton of cold air from getting in. The duct sealing helped too but not as much as the insulation. It's wild how much heat just leaks out through the attic floor if you don't have enough blown in. A lot of people don't realize that old insulation settles over time and gets way less effective. So yeah definitely worth looking into if anyone's on the fence about paying for an audit.
