Wasted $150 on a fancy creosote remover that did nothing

Bought this expensive spray-on creosote remover from a supply house in Lancaster, figured it'd save me time on a tough buildup. After three applications and still having to chip it out by hand, I realized I just threw my money away. Has anyone else found a specific brand that actually works or is it all hype?

Honestly, I think you just got sold snake oil and should've gone with the old elbow grease method from the start.

Fully agree with @the_eva on this one. Did the exact same thing last year with some fancy "miracle" wax for my truck and it beaded up for like two days then turned into a sticky mess. Had to spend an afternoon with a clay bar and some of that old school turtle wax to fix it all up. Pics or it didn't happen but I was so mad I threw the whole bottle in the trash.
