Talked to a creosote inspector yesterday, now I'm second guessing every flue I've cleaned this year.
He told me he's seen three chimney fires in the last two months where the homeowners had a recent sweep on record. Said most guys miss the offset in a 45 degree bend because they stop at the first clean spot. Has anyone here actually dropped a camera down past the smoke shelf to check for glaze build up?
