My rotary brush snapped mid flue on a Bradford job and I want to warn everyone
Was running a 6 inch poly brush up a clay liner on a two story brick place off Mechanic St in Bradford when the rod coupling let go at the second elbow. Heard a crack, then the whole brush dropped and wedged itself about 14 feet down, and I spent 40 minutes fishing it out with a weighted chain. Turns out the threaded adapter was cross threaded from when I rushed swapping heads in the truck that morning, so now I check every connection by hand before it goes in the flue. Anyone got a rod setup that doesn't loosen up on longer runs, or is thread lock the way to go?

Was it the adapter itself that was cross threaded or the rod end?
