Walk-in cooler died at 8pm on a 95 degree Saturday in Austin

Had 20 pounds of shrimp and a whole tuna on ice in bus tubs out back while I waited on the repair guy, and my dishwasher kept fanning the door like it was a campfire. Anyone else keep a spare gasket and a thermometer on hand for this kind of mess, or am I just being paranoid?
