Power stretcher head snapped mid-stretch and put a crease 3 feet long in a customer's Berber
Heads up for anyone running an older power stretcher. The pin on my head sheared off halfway through a 40 yard Berber job in Mesa last Tuesday. Stretcher let go and the tail whipped back, put a crease about 3 feet long right in the middle of the main room. I caught it before it set but still had to pull the whole seam and re-stretch that section by hand. Homeowner was cool about it but I ate 4 hours on the clock. Check your pins and pins on the head before every job, a 2 dollar part cost me a half day. Anyone got a brand of head that holds up better than the stock one?
