My seam roller handle snapped clean off on a Friday afternoon job
Honestly, it was the last seam on a 400 square foot living room in Phoenix, and the metal just gave out. Tbh I had to finish the job by pressing down with the broken stub, which killed my palm. Ngl I've had that Stanley roller for like 8 years, so I guess it was time, but the timing was awful. Ended up ordering a new one from the supply house for $35, but had to wait until Monday. Has anyone else had a tool fail right at the finish line, and what's your go-to brand for a heavy-duty replacement?

My old Crain roller snapped at the base on a stair runner job last year. I wrapped the broken end with a ton of duct tape and a rag just to get enough pressure to finish. It was a mess. I switched to a Roberts model after that, the one with the metal core handle. It feels solid, no flex in it at all.

Check the warranty first, maybe?

Isn't that always the best move? I just saved a ton on a laptop repair because it was still covered. Saved me from a huge headache.
